Slightly curved steel blade with large single fuller, ricasso stamped "M" on one side and dated "1942" on the other. Brass hilt and pommel of familiar form with fluted wood grip, guard stamped "37" and "M" on the other side. Complete with black canvas-covered scabbard with brass mounts and steel drag. Left side fitted with blued steel socket bayonet with tapered cross-section blade, throat stamped "AA840 0" and "M". Very good condition, blade bright with a few minor marks, brass unpolished. Grip with a small chip on right side and a few scattered marks. Bayonet very good with some scattered rust spots. Scabbard very good with a few scattered marks from use and one bayonet mount slightly loose.
