Leather high eagle helmet made by Oak Hall Boston (stamped on eagle). Original black paint, eight combs with black and white front shield reads "Charlestown" (missing S & T letters). "Veteran VFA" with white shield in center. From Boston, Massachusetts. Original cloth liner and large original overlay patch on rear. Overall good condition. Circa 1860's.
