This was part of the purchase of 10,000 guns from Colt in 1919 for the Argentine Navy. The frame is all typical Colt stamped "Government Model" with 'C' serial number. All were numbered in the Colt Commercial Series. Consists of pre-World War II checkered short trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and serrated walnut grips. Colt Commercial slide with standard Colt stamps on both sides and Argentine crest on top. Slide is not numbered on, neither on top or behind firing pin. Blued replacement barrel. Pistol retains approximately 90% of the reapplied high polish blue finish.
