This standard 98 has the Federal eagle stamp on left side of barrel and frame. Chamber is stamped "27 1938" for B. Geipel GmbH, Waffenfabrik Erma, Erfurt in 1938. Right side of chamber has three Waffenamt stamps. The balance of the metal parts bear various numbers, other than action and barrel. Import stamp under barrel. Metal parts on are a blue-grey-brown patina; never refinished. Laminate stock in excellent condition with usual dings.
