Factory research shows this rifle in caliber .50/110 with a half octagon barrel, plain trigger (rifle has adjustable trigger), checkered stock, pistol grip, shotgun butt and shipped September 27th, 1894. This is the best .50 caliber Winchester we have ever offered. It features the extremely rare half octagon half round barrel, full magazine, Winchester express three leaf rear sight (not mentioned in letter), and special ivory bead front sight (not mentioned in letter). Top of barrel at breech is stamped ".50 EX." Barrel and tube retain 95% of their original blue finish but you can see some toning coming though. Razor sharp legends and edges. 80% original blue on bolt. Strong case colors on sides and back of hammer 90%. Lever has case colors visible on side and brilliant colors under lever. Both sides of frame retain between 30-50% color with the balance simply nickeled out. Deluxe stocks show XXX grain, sharp checkering, ebony insert in pistol grip, Winchester logo shotgun buttplate, additional tang sight not listed in letter. The wood is simply magnificent. Numerous special order features which letter and additional features not on letter. Strong mirror bore. This would be an exquisite deluxe rifle in any caliber, but doubly so in the Big .50.
