Manufactured 1860, first year of production and was converted to fire .44 centerfire circa 1870. Standard Richard's Conversion Colt Model 1860 Army revolver converted to fire the .44 caliber self-contained cartridge. Features round barrel, six notch rebated cylinder with Naval scene, blued and case colored finish, six shot, single action, and one piece walnut grips. Has the New York barrel address. 50% scene on cylinder. Colt's patent on left side of frame. These were converted after the Civil War to fire centerfire cartridges. All metal is basically gun metal grey mixed with patina. Grips are very good with chips at toe and the name "HALL" on left panel. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong rifled bore with minor abrasions.
