These rare pistols were manufactured for the commercial marketplace and were the best quality Lugers of the period. Features blued finish, polished to commercial quality, and straw colors on safety with Nitre blue small parts. Toggle is stamped with the "HK" anchor and "Krieghoff Suhl". German Imperial crown with "N" stamped on left rail, left frame and under barrel, Has the eagle "2" acceptance stamp inside safety. Right side of frame has the LWaA rejection five-point star found on all early P code commercial guns. Left side of frame is stamped "Heinrich Krieghoff Waffenfabrik Suhl". Has the Ritzmann brown plastic grips as found on page 45 of the Krieghoff book. All matching numbers. The magazine is numbered to the gun but is the incorrect style of magazine. Near mint bore and action. A nearly identical pistol can be found on page 192 of the Ralph Shattuck collection. This pistol remains in nearly unfired condition, retaining virtually all of its high polish commercial finish. One of the most desirable of all commercially made Lugers and would be nearly impossible to find a finer example.
