Manufactured by Mauser for the German military, the G stamped on chamber stands for the production year of 1935 when Germany was still using codes to skirt the Treaty of Versailles. This pistol has all matching numbers with exception of the checkered walnut grips not being numbered and the aluminum bottom magazine is numbered 4271 (but is proper type). This pistol shows usual high edge wear on rails, bottom of trigger guard, muzzle, and grip straps. Retains approximately 75% of the original factory finish. All wear is just honest use and holster wear. This early military pistol still has the straw colored small parts. Stamped "S42" on toggle. German Imperial inspector marks on right side of frame. Fine bore and action. Very fine, original 1935 G date.
