Manufactured by Mauser for the German Coastal Flying Service ("Kustenfligerstafflen"), 41 is the only two digit date utilized in conjunction with the 42 code and is referred to as the 41/42 Model. Features all matching numbers except barrel is not numbered. Barrel is stamped with Waffenamt 659. Features all blue finish with dark small parts. Stamped "41" on chamber and "42" stamped on toggle. Checkered walnut grips are not numbered. Blued magazine with black plastic bottom and stamped "fxo" (C.G. Haenel, Waffen-u. Fahrradfabrik, Suhl) with Waffenamt 37. The left side of frame after serial number is stamped "KU", left side of barrel and the right side of the receaver has the matching KU proof mark, that can be found on page 58 of "Lugers At Random". This pistol is in excellent condition with usual light wear on edge of trigger guard, face of rails, muzzle and sideplate hump. Still retains about 95% - 98% blue finish overall with only a few light marks. Fine bore and action. Way above average military Mauser Luger.
