This lot consists of a painted portrait of President Roosevelt. The President, looks out and almost above the viewer with his large kind eyes. He dons a blue suit coat with a white collared shirt and a blue and white polka dotted tie. The President is depicted with such care, that the viewer is able to see the laugh lines at the edge of his eyes, the worry marks on his forehead and the bags under his eyes from being tired. The artist signed and dated the painting on the lower right corner, "C. V. Larson 1934." The painting is framed in a simple gilt wooden frame. Overall the painting is in good condition with normal wear present. Wear is also present on the frame. Please note that this painting is not painted on canvas but is painted on board. CORRECTION: This is President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
