This lot consists of a carved portrait of General McClellan. The General was known for serving in the Mexican-American war and in the Civil war. Because of his status and his service in the previous wars, he was made Major General and had a great presence in the Army of the Potomac. The artist has depicted the General with a three quarter view of his body, while his head is in profile. He is depicted in Military garb, with wreaths flanking either side of the General. Above the General, there is an American eagle, that holds arrows in one talon and a laurel branch in the other. This piece is encased under glass and framed in an oval wooden frame. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
