This lot consists of a portrait of President Andrew Jackson. Depicted in this portrait, the President dons a black suit coat with matching vest, a white collared shirt and black bow tie. The artist portrays President Jackson with a serious face, one that represents the position of the President of the United States, with kind eyes behind his glasses and wild crazy hair. The President is painted in front of a dark brown background. The painting is framed in a simple wooden frame that bears much wear. Overall the lot displays normal wear, as seen on the frame and on the painting. There are areas deficient of paint along with craquelure. Please take note that there is a small tear in the canvas on the forehead of President Jackson.
