This lot consists of a landscape painting entitled "Trainyard Along the Lehigh River," by Walter Mattern. It is dated circa 1930, as noted by the didactic on the verso. From the colors used in this landscape, it appears that this was painted during the winter season with the cold grey coloring and bare trees. In the distance there is a red and blue colored train. Between the viewer and the train is the Lehigh river. The artists signature is present on the lower left of the painting. The painting is framed in a metallic colored, ornately carved wooden frame. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
