Manufactured 1911. This is a standard early takedown rifle. Features full round barrel, takedown, sporting rear sight, white bead front sight, blued finish, walnut stock with straight grip, rifle butt, case colored lever, cocking indicator and brass cartridge counter. Barrel address stamp can be found in figure A-4 on page 125 in the book "Savage 99 Rifle" by David Royal. Barrel retains approximately 95% of the bright original factory blue finish with razor sharp legends. Left side of frame has approximately 30% of the bright blue, as does left side of frame; balance blends with a perfect brown patina. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal with no cracks at wrist. 30-50% case colors still visible on lever. Strong, rifled bore and perfect action.
