Manufactured 1927. Has the style six barrel stamp (295000 - 315000). This is the 99G deluxe takedown model with checkered pistol grip stock, introduced in 1922. Features full round barrel, nickel blade front sight, folding leaf rear sight, blued finish, case colored lever, serrated steel buttplate with Savage logo, brass cartridge counter, serrated trigger. Bridge is stamped "SAVAGE MODEL 99". Has a Marbles tang sight. This rifle remains in excellent condition. Barrel retains 97% original factory blue, as does frame, with light high edge wear and very minor age freckling. Wood is excellent, proud to metal with sharp checkering and no visible cracks or chips. 90% case colors on lever. Fine action. Strong, clean bore. An exceptional 1920's Savage.
