This lot consists of a large wooden pedestal. The pedestal most resembles the Roman Composite column, which has a simple base and column body, but a floral top. It appears that this column could have been painted many times, as different colors are showing through the top layer of paint. Once it must have been a reddish color, followed by a darker color and now it is an off white color. Other than areas that are deficient of color, it appears that this piece displays normal wear. Cracks and some chips are present.
