This lot consists of a large hollow bronze bust of President Taft. On the base of the bust, "W. H. Taft" has been inscribed by the artist. On the verso, the artists signature and date are present, "S. Asljornsen 1908," however the name is not completely legible. This can be found on the back left shoulder. President Taft is depicted as looking off to the far left. He also appears to have a sullen face, almost as if he is afraid or sad of what has happened. The artist has depicted the President in a suit coat, suit vest, collared button down shirt and tie. Overall the large piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
