Manufactured 1899. Standard rifle features full octagon barrel, full magazine, Rocky Mountain front sight, semi-buckhorn sporting rear sight, walnut stocks, and rifle buttplate. Stamped "MARLIN SAFETY" on frame and "MARLIN 1894" on tang. Razor sharp edges and legends. Barrel and tube are basically a pleasing smooth plum-blue finish. Frame is a dark grey-plum patina with case color patterns visible. Walnut stocks are very good to excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks but some usual bumps and bruises. Fine action. Strong, clean rifled bore.
