To most collectors this particular machine would be the pinnacle of their collection! Regarded by most collectors, this was truly the very first payout machine but to clarify there were other payout machines prior to the creation of this machine but none as complicated as this example. In actuality this was the first three wheel or dial payout machine, created by Charles Fey around 1898. It features a black sheet metal and brass cabinet with titular Liberty Bell emblems on either side of the body. The original mint reels offer simple designs of the four playing card suits with the addition of a bell. The award card is original as well, with tax stamp and Charles Fey tokens. Play a nickel or one of the five cent Charles Fey trade checks or tokens provided to spin the reels and determine your payout. All original locks with one key. Very few of these are known to exist with this being the most stunning example, this is a museum quality piece.
