Serial no. 105369 was manufactured late in production in 1918. Factory research lists this rifle shipped in August 1909 with a 30” no. 3 half octagon barrel in .32-40 caliber with single set trigger. In addition, it has a special order set trigger. The scope is mounted in a separate set of dove tails to which they mounted a Stevens no. 450, 3/4” tube scope with adjustable rear mount and measures 32-1/2”. The regular sight slots are present. The walnut stock and rifle buttplate are standard features on this rifle. By 1918, a full blued finish for the frame was standard. Finding a high condition blue frame High Wall is extremely difficult, and this one has seen little use. Frame retains approximately 85% of the brilliant high polish finish with the thinning concentrated on tang. The barrel retains 95% plus original factory blue as well. There are a few minor age freckles. The lever and block have generous flashes of color. The stocks are near mint, proud to metal with just a couple of minor impressions. Action is fine with near mint bore. The Stevens scope retains most of the original blued finish with fine optics. This is a tremendous, high condition, Hi-Wall, long range, scoped rifle.
