American, Ca. 1940s. Marked "Alexander" on head and torso. Perfect sleeping eyes with eyelashes (lips and eyebrows probably touched up, overall crazing on face), mohair wig may be replaced. Black felt suit (no tag), coat with tails and satin lapels, pants with satin ribbon stripe down side, pique shirt and cummerbund, black shoes and socks also. Suit appears original, is the same type worn by the 1950s hard plastic Groom and Prince Phillip dolls.
