This lot consists of a swivel base bust of Robert E. Lee. On the verso of the bust, the artist's signature, date and location are present, "Frederick Volck 1863 Richmond, Virginia." Robert E. Lee's name is present on the base of the bust. Lee is depicted looking out to the viewer with a strong face, one that would be typical of a man of his position, as a general for the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Overall the piece is in great condition with normal wear present.
