Both pistols with octagonal Damascus steel barrels with multi-groove rifling, finely engraved patent hooked breeches, and marked on undersides with Belgian proofs. Notched rear sights and small half moon front sights on each barrel. Engraved percussion lockplates and hammers, featuring finely-executed scrolls, shells, and flowers. Steel furniture including faceted buttcaps and spur triggerguards engraved en suite. Figured circassian walnut half stocks with grooved grips, forends feature detailed relief carved rococo designs. Complete with original mahogany case with red velour fitted interior. Lid features five large inlaid panels of pierced scrolls, horn moldings on edges, and brass corners. Accessories are matching and original, including wooden mallet, turned wooden percussion cap box, screwdriver with reservoir in handle, lead ladle, bullet mold, small nickel plated oiler, wooden ramrod with brass knob and tip, and a cleaning rod. Lidded compartment contains lead balls, threaded cleaning brush, and original key. Also included is a Rilings no. 1267 copper powder flask. Pistols are in excellent condition, showing little use and have a few light scattered storage marks, one pistol with absent front sight. Accessories are excellent, flask has one very small dent on back, otherwise excellent. Lid has some scattered marks and some losses to horn edge on back of lid. Interior has some fading and storage marks from imprints of pistols and accessories. Overall, a very fine pair of cased target pistols.
