Manufactured 1944. Left side of frame is stamped "F.J.A." (Frank J. Atwood). Proof "P" at magazine release. Left side of frame has Ordnance wheel and is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". "REMINGTON RAND" stamp on left side of slide. Proof "P" on top. Keyes star mark grips. All proper era parts to include short checkered trigger, checkered spurless hammer, checkered safety, serrated slide stop. Blued barrel stamped "HS" for High Standard. Mint bore and nearly all blue on barrel. Has a pinned blued magazine with five view holes and unmarked blued base. Back of slide is stamped "G" on the retainer. Gun retains 98% period parkerized finish with razor sharp legends. Appears nearly unfired. Comes in a generic military-style box.
