This is a well-made and large copy of a Philadelphia style Deringer pistol. Rifled Damascus steel barrel with top flap and patent breech, left side of barrel stamped with Liege proof mark. Scroll engraved back action percussion lock. Partially figured walnut stock with German silver mounts and bone tipped wooden ramrod. Trigger guard bow engraved with scrolls and shield shaped wrist escutcheon engraved with monogram "EOH". Very good condition; barrel retains a light grey patina with traces of Damascus and some minor wear. Lock retains generous traces of blued finish. Stock is very good as refinished with a few scattered marks and one minor repair between barrel tang and lock.
