One of the most popular revolvers of the Civil War because of its durability and solid top strap. Features a blued octagon barrel, six shot, single action, brass trigger guard and smooth walnut grips. Barrel legends are sharp. Retains approximately 20% original blue with average age freckling and patina. Government inspector mark on left side. Traces of blue on loading lever. Balance of metal is a brown-grey patina with some minor salt and pepper. Untouched trigger guard. Excellent grips. Perfect nipples. Indexes and locks up like new. Strong rifling with usual black powder abrasion. Revolver comes in a period homemade walnut display case with UMC cap tin, unmarked steel two cavity bullet mold, nipple wrench, nipple tool, and a period Fleur-de-Lis brass powder flask with repairs and dent.
