Factory letter states that this .44 Hand Ejector Second Model, caliber .44 Smith & Wesson was shipped on June 15th, 1926 to Lee Hardware Company in Shreveport, Louisiana with a 6-1/2" barrel, fixed sights, blued finish and checkered walnut grips. This model was introduced in 1915 and manufactured until 1940. Built on the large square butt N frame. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Case colored hammer and trigger. Very good diamond checkered walnut grips with no medallion or numbers. Overall, gun has approxinately60-70% original factory blue, balance mixing with soft patina. Indexes perfectly. Sharp, clean bore.
