Typical Artillery altered U.S. revolver circa 1900 to 1903. Frame is no. 136402 and stamped "R.A.C.", which would place this in the 1890 contract, first contract for 2,000 revolvers. Barrel is no. 4879 with "D.F.C." stamp with two proof "P". Trigger guard is stamped "82862", placing it in the D.F.C. sub-inspected series. Backstrap is stamped 133963K in the R.A.C. series. Visible serial number on cylinder 810 with proof "P" and "K" on back. Frame has two line patent with "U.S." on left side. One piece walnut grips. One line barrel address. All markings are sharp. Still has fire blue on most screws. Barrel is a blue-grey patina with bright blue under housing. Balance of gun is a soft grey-brown patina. Ejector rod housing not marked. Hammer has the "H.N." (Henry Nettleton) stamp on left side. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong, clean rifled bore. Nice example of Artillery alterations of 1900 to 1903.
