Manufactured 1861. All matching numbers including wedge, loading lever and cylinder. Features brass backstrap and trigger guard, deluxe one piece varnished walnut grips, and New York barrel address. This gun falls under the Gustave Young and L.D. Nimschke time period. This was done in the scroll pattern with punch dot background and has the wolf's head engraved hammer. Very similar to the Gustave Young pattern found on page 77 of the "Colt Engraving" book, a transition from the large donut scrolls. 75% visible stagecoach roll-engraved scene on cylinder. Balance of gun is devoid of finish and has been cleaned. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Good rifling. Comes in a period antique wooden display case with original Colt two cavity bullet mold, a reproduction eagle flask, and a later UMC cap tin.
