Manufactured in 1943. Left side of frame has the “G.H.D.” (Guy Dewey June 1942 - July 1945) inspector stamp. Right side of frame and top of slide have the British “B.N.P.” proof marks with crown. Has the matte military style finish on frame. Slide is matte blue. Arched checkered mainspring housing, short checkered trigger, and short checkered wide-spur hammer. Right side of frame has the Ordnance wheel and is stamped “United States Property M1911 A1 US Army”. Keyes-style brown plastic grips with no star. High profile wind-adjustable rear sight added with a target-type period front sight added. Top of slide has the proof “P”. The blued barrel has British proofs on top of chamber, left side stamped “Colt .45 Auto” with proof “P”. This pistol is set up very much like the military service Ace. Has a very good bore and fine action. Takedown lever is checkered. Frame retains approximately 98% of the Parkerized finish with a light drag line. Slide is a mix of blue and brown patina. Comes with one magazine.
