This is a Type V manufactured from 1849 to 1850 with the stagecoach hold-up cylinder scene, rectangle slot on cylinder, loading lever. Matching serial numbers including loading lever, wedge and cylinder. Has the small two line Colt patent on left side and New York address on barrel. Distinctive square back trigger guard. Has the loading cut-out on right side of barrel lug. All original nipples. 20% silver plate on backstrap and trigger guard. Excellent, well-fitted one piece walnut grips. 75% cylinder scene. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong rifling. This is the last of the Baby Dragoons. Extremely scarce and clean revolver.
