Manufactured 1863. This is a standard mid-war 1861 Colt Navy single action revolver with the 1860 style round barrel and tooth-gear ramrod. All legends are sharp. Small letter "S" appears stamped under every serial number on frame. All matching numbers, including cylinder. Wedge not numbered. 30% cylinder scene. All original nipples. Very good wood stocks with repair to left side front toe, and a bit shy on lower right side at frame; slightly undersized. Brass trigger guard has not been cleaned. Balance of metal is grey patina. A few marred screws. Indexes perfectly. Strong rifling with black powder residue. Cut for shoulder stock on backstrap. Basically a clean, no finish gun much scarcer than the 1860 Army and 1851 Navy.
