Manufactured 1863. All matching numbers with the exception of a misnumbered wedge. Standard issue with round barrel, fluted cylinder with roll engraved Naval scene. Revolver retains lots of condition. Barrel has perfect New York address and 60% original blue, starting to thin. Traces of color on loading lever. 85% cylinder scene with 50% original blue in fluted area. Original nipples. Blue-grey steel backstrap. Round trigger guard. Traces of case colors on frame, balance patterned out. Sharp legends. Excellent ivory grips that have aged beautifully with some minor shrinkage and cracks. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong bore with minor black powder abrasion. Numerous military inspector stamps. Overall a lovely 1860 Army manufactured for the military with period grips installed.
