Nice silk lampshade. This beautiful phonograph is in fine working condition, and lights up.
Correction: This particular model was manufactured in 1918 but the Fairy Phonography Company started in the 1880's. During that time, the light illuminating underneath the shade was just a simple candle. After the invention of electricity, the wired models were ingeniously designed with "on/off" switches constructed into the arms opposite of the arm that the record is played.
