Manufactured 1865 to 1888. It is a single shot, spur trigger, falling block with blued barrel and two piece rosewood grips. Referred to as the "Sawhandle Deringer". 75% original factory blue on barrel. Frame is basically grey patina. Grips are excellent. Fine working order. Strong, clean bore. Housed in a French fitted display case that resembles a drop-front desk with inner leather pad, celluloid decorations with brass brads. The two desk drawers at bottom are intact and one holds four vintage cigars. Top of desk flips up to exposed two different style ink wells. Dagger with ivory handle has 4-3/8" spear point blade; 8-3/4" overall length. Nickel silver hand guard with silver plated cap. No maker's stamp. Excellent condition. Celluloid decoration does have a few cracks. Desk is excellent and complete. One of the most elaborate pistol cases with have seen in the form of a small desk set.
