Manufactured 1867. This is a London proofed Colt with the American New York barrel address, serial numbered in the standard American series. Every cylinder bears a British proof mark, as does the left side of the barrel. Has all matching serial numbers to include wedge and loading lever, with the exception of the cylinder which is stamped "2130". "L" stamped under serial number on frame, barrel, grip strap and trigger. Features blued steel backstrap and trigger guard, retaining 20% blue. 25% original factory blue turning plum on barrel. Traces of case colors on hammer and lever. Frame is patterned out. Original nipples. Excellent varnished one piece walnut grips. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Near mint roll-engraved stagecoach cylinder scene. Strong, clean rifling. Comes in an oak case with instructions in lid, period wood handled cleaning rod, Dixon marked copper bag flask, Colt marked two cavity bullet mold, large cap tin. Bone handled compartment door. Excellent all original condition.
