Manufactured in 1908. Standard takedown rifle features full octagon barrel, full magazine, original Winchester sporting sights (rear sight needs elevator), takedown, blued finish, and walnut stocks with rifled buttplate. Barrel and tube are a lovely mix of soft blue and brown patina. Nice legends and sharp edges. Frame has flaked to a gun metal grey and soft brown patina mix. 15% original blue on loading gate, screw heads are fairly sharp, no colors on hammer or lever. Wood is excellent, fits perfectly and slightly proud to metal with excellent stocks. Very strong rifled bore. Far above average handsome Model 1892 takedown rifle.
