Manufactured 1944. Standard World War II issue Remington U.S. issue. Left side of the frame is stamped "F.J.A." (Frank Atwood) with a proof "P". Right side of frame has "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911 A1 U.S. Army". Frame has the Ordnance wheel at right rear. Slide is stamped "REMINGTON RAND INC. SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." on left side. Top of frame is stamped with a "P" with no serifs. Inside top of frame is stamped "G", along with under firing pin plate. Has proper checkered short trigger, checkered hammer (no spurs), serrated arched mainspring with loop, checkered safety, serrated slide stop and brown plastic Keyes style grips. Top of parkerized barrel is stamped "COLT .45 AUTO" and left lug has "C" in box. Full blued magazine stamped "L" and manufactured by M.S. Little Manufacturing Co. Fine, clean bore. Gun is in excellent condition and retains approximately 90% of the military reapplied parkerized finish.
