This revolver was built in 1947 and went to King Gun Sight Company for the full custom target treatment to include Colt King Super Target serrated vent rib with integral target adjustable rear sight (rear sight King micrometered click adjusting with automatic lock), No. 130 front sight, wide checkered offset hammer, checkered trigger, short throw action, with a beautiful near mint set of palm swell diamond checkered period custom walnut grips. The basis for this full King custom was the scarce Heavy Barrel Official Police. Strong clean bore. Action is smooth as silk. This gun is basically the grandfather of the Colt Python in .38 caliber. Standard features include six shot, double action and blued finish. Barrel blue is thinning with drag line and overall high edge wear, otherwise 85% original factory blue finish.
