This beautiful music box was produced by Swiss maker Mermod Freres around 1903. This console model features a lovely mahogany cabinet with gilded filigree designs. The upper portion plays 18-1/2" music discs with a double comb, of which all the teeth are present. The lower portion of the cabinet has vertical storage for multiple music discs and currently houses 25 of them. This music box plays well and offers a rich tonal quality and charm. Some wear is present through the console. Without key.
