Manufactured 1929. Features blued finish, single bead, plain barrel, round knob checkered walnut stock and FN black composite buttplate. Early shotgun has the FN Browning stamp on left side, no patent dates. Nothing on right side of frame. Top of barrel is stamped "BROWNING ARMS CO. OGDEN UTAH". Barrel retains approximately 80% thinning blue. Approximately 50% blue on frame, balance simply silvered out. Razor sharp legends. Beautiful grain in stock. Right side forearm at frame has 2" stress crack. Fine bore and action. Handsome example of an early A5.
