This famous image by Hy Watson is most noted as the artwork used for the 1927 calendar. This heavy cardboard full-color advertising piece is the first of this type we have seen. Has a hanging hole at top. The measurements are different than the calendar at 12" wide and 19-3/8" high. The color combination is different than the calendar; the printing under "Remington" is black and not yellow. It does not have the slogan "Specific loads for specific game". Bottom of poster has the 1927 patent date and the "Form 737 Litho" stamp. While there is some minor edge chipping, this piece remains in excellent condition. It has been backed and shrink wrapped. Color is brilliant. Very rare cardboard variation of the 1927 poster art.
1927 REMINGTON ARMS & AMMUNITION CARDBOARD STORE DISPLAY.
