Manufactured 1902. Features on this fine early 1894 rifle include full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting front sight, Winchester sporting half-buckhorn rear sight, tang sight, walnut stock and rifle butt. Barrel and tube retain approximately 90% original factory blue finish with high edge wear. Light edge wear and light freckling near muzzle on right side of barrel. Frame retains approximately 70% bright factory blue on left side and 50% on right side. Traces of case colors on hammer and lever. Wood is proud to metal and in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, just some light added finish. Perfect action. Strong, clean bore with some light frosting. Far better than average .38-55.
