Manufactured 1894. This very early frame was the basis for this rifle, having what is known as the "10 o'clock" screw on the left side of the loading port. At one point it was fitted with a shorter octagon barrel in .30 caliber. Has full magazine, replaced nose cap, replaced front sight, sporting rear sight, deluxe walnut stock, refinished and shy to metal with no cracks. Forearm is a replacement. Virtually all of the reapplied blue finish on metal surfaces is intact. Fine action. Strong rifled bore. Good shooter as-is, a handsome and handy short rifle.
