Manufactured 1937. This short rifle features the 20" barrel with flat crown and the short 2-1/2" front sight. Deluxe features include sling eyes, deluxe checkered pistol grip stock with Winchester cap, steel shotgun buttplate and checkered forend. Standard features include round barrel, half magazine, solid frame, ramp front sight, bolt peep sight. Rear barrel sight is plugged. Barrel has sharp legends but has been cleaned of finish and is almost in the white. 90% blue on tube, 20% blue on nose cap, 75-80% blue on frame with some wiped-on finish added to left side. Wood is proud to metal with nice checkering, expert repair on left side of wrist at tang. Fine action. Strong, clean rifling. Fairly scarce deluxe short rifle that would be a good shooter or a great restoration project.
