Comprising: (A) Matchlock rifle with heavy octagonal barrel and rear sight. Deep crown marks stamped on top flat near breech. Matchlock mechanism and steel furniture. Stock of classic form with horn ramrod retainers and wooden ramrod with horn tip. Good condition; all steel components have been cleaned and now retain a spotted grey patina and freckling in dark areas. Stock has many old repairs and pieces of wood that have been replaced. (B) A massive Matchlock blunderbuss. Two stage octagonal barrel with blunderbuss muzzle, massive matchlock mechanism with gargoyle head ignition. Plain walnut stock of familiar form with wooden ramrod. Very good condition; barrel and lock retain a light grey patina with some scattered freckling. Mechanism is functional. Stock with some minor losses to finish and scattered marks.
