Standard Civil War U.S. Military production features six shot, solid frame, brass trigger guard, balance blued finish and two piece walnut grips. This revolver has sharp barrel legends, original pinch front sight. Numerous military inspector marks, to include "P" on barrel and cylinder, "W" on frame, and "C" on trigger guard. Original nipples. Grips are either replaced or refinished with no visible cartouche. Metal is a pleasing mix of blue-brown-grey patina. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong, clean bore. Far above average 1858.
