Manufactured 1875 to 1896. Has the "J. STEVENS" stamp with patent date. Matching serial number on barrel, frame and shoulder stock. Features octagon to round barrel, blade front sight, wind adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger, square butt two piece rosewood grips, nickel plated frame and shoulder stock. Visible rifling. Working extractor. Barrel is basically a blue-grey patina. 90% original nickel on frame with some wear to trigger guard and grip strap. 30% nickel on Stevens shoulder stock. Fine working action.
