Comprising: (A) German Artillery short sword with heavy steel clip point blade stamped near ricasso with crown. Solid brass guard and grip; guard stamped with regimental markings on left side "15. IB 1L B 1" and on right side "125". Front of guard stamped "15 R". Complete with black leather scabbard with brass drag. Very good condition; blade retains a grey patina with some scattered light spotting. Hilt retains an unpolished patina. Scabbard very good with some minor flaking. An unusual example. (B) English pattern 1796 Infantry officer's sword with straight single fuller blade with blued panels engraved with gilt decorated designs, including arms and military motifs. Brass hilt with folding counterguard and chiseled leaves, fluted wood grip and faceted pommel. Very good condition; blade retains generous traces of blued and gilt finishes with scattered areas of dark spotting and corrosion. Hilt retains a dark patina and is in excellent condition. Nice, early 19th century officer's sword.
