Manufactured 1918. This pistol started life as a standard 1918 U.S. Army semi-automatic pistol. It has been converted to a target gun with the addition of a high front sight, micro rear target sight, new set of diamond checkered grips. Has the original World War I era long smooth trigger, pre-war checkered safety, post-war serrated slide stop, post-war hammer and flat mainspring housing. Pistol retains approximately 85% of the reapplied blued finish. It is housed in a post-war reproduction box with a set of reproduction pre-war instructions, a U.S. Army pocket knife and two magazines. Fine bore.
